FW Hawksworth was last chief engineer of the Great Western Railway and introduced a range of modern coahes with a distinctive roof outline. These have long been requested by modellers of the late GWR and early BR Western region years as these coaches formed the prestigeous expresses of the period.
This brake composite coach provided seating for 1st and 3rd class passengers plus an office for the guard and a small luggage van.
