Hornby OO BR Engineers Sealion YGB Ballast Hopper Wagon Olive Green Livery (R6328A)


The 40-ton Sealion ballast hoppers were built in the 1970's and fitted with the quick acting AFI vacuum brake system. Based on an earlier Southern Railway design these wagons were used widely across the BR network, conveying fresh ballast, which could be discharged directly onto newly laid track through the central hopper and side chutes.
This is sure to be a popular model, the olive green livery lasting for many years.
