The Stanier Jubilee class was a highly successful design of 3-cylinder locomotives providing a useful intermediate type between the class 5 mixed traffic 4-6-0 and larger 4-6-2 pacific types. Jubilees were capable of hauling secondary and medium distance express trains, allowing cross-country services to be speeded up. Jubilees always seemed to have a substantial reserve of power for when extra effort was demanded, an experienced crew could be confident of their Jubilee getting to the top of the Lickey incline, even with an overloaded train.

This model has been revised to BR 45572 Eire in the BR lined green livery with early lion over wheel emblem.
