A model of the BR Southern region 4-car 4CEP express electric multiple unit train painted in the green livery of the 1950s and early 1960s.
These trains were based on the BR Mk.1 coach construction system, many components and body panels were common with the standard locomotive-hauled coaches. The CEP trains were fitted with powerful electric motors to provide express services on the new Kent coast electrifciation scheme, one of the first major expansions of the Southern electric network after WW2.
These intricate models feature full underfloor equipment, illuminated route indicator box, fully detailed cab ends and interiors and a DCC 6 Pin decoder socket with option for sound. Accessories include 2 speaker housings and short NEM couplings.
DCC Ready. 6-pin decoder required for DCC operation.
