A new model of the class 156 sprinter unit is due from Dapol during the 3rd quarter of 2008. This will be another of Dapols' high specification platinum range N gauge models, with powered and dummy versions available, allowing longer formations to be modelled with ease.

First Group operate a number of these trains in the franchise across the UK, this unit, 156 440, carries the companys' corporate scheme of purple with white and pink stripes. A dummy unit, product ND081B numbered 156 492 will also be available.
