A new model of the class 156 sprinter unit is due from Dapol during the 3rd quarter of 2008. This will be another of Dapols' high specification platinum range N gauge models, with powered and dummy versions available, allowing longer formations to be modelled with ease.

First Group operate a number of these trains in the franchise across the UK, this unit, 156 492, carries the companys' corporate scheme of purple with white and pink stripes. This is an unpowered unit, designed to be run with powered unit ND081A numbered 156 440.
