A new model of the class 156 sprinter unit is due from Dapol during the 3rd quarter of 2008. This will be another of Dapols' high specification platinum range N gauge models, with powered and dummy versions available, allowing longer formations to be modelled with ease.

A small batch of Sprinter trains were built specifically for the Strathclyde transport executive for services around Glasgow. This model carries the crimson and cream livery adopted for use on these trains, a scheme reminicscent of the original BR passenger coach livery. A dummy unit, product ND083B will also be available.
