These LMS Stanier era smooth-sided coaches entered service in the 1930s and could be seen still in use into the 1960s.
This model is of the composite open coach, fitted with open plan seating and tables. The composite coach provided first class accomodation at one end and third class seating at the other end, ideal for providing first class accomodation within a short train.
