In the second half of the 19th century, particularly the mounted tribes of the prairie Indians resisted the advance of the "white man" into the western territories of North America. Despite of all the battles these Indians fought against the white soldiers, settlers and cowboys, in the end they still had to yield to the superiority and live in reservations.
