Mamod and Wilesco steam engines are powered by solid fuel tablets and are very safe when used sensibly. Using distilled (or rain) water is a good idea to prevent scaling. Delivery will usually be made within 7 - 10 days. We won't charge the item until stock is assured.

Top of the Pop's in Mamod. The super Steam Traction Engine, still essentially the same as when first introduced! Great for grandads as well as their grandkids.All complete and ready to go as a fuel tablet is included. You do need water! The TE1A model is a good copy of the original, in days gone by they were a portable powerhouse on the land as well as in the towns. The Mamod TE1A is of highly detailed metal construction with painted brass boiler, water level gauge, safety valve, working steam whistle and reversing lever. Supplied complete with removable canopy and steering extension rod. The spoked diecast flywheel runs a drive belt connected to the rear wheel. Exhaust steam is vented to the chimney for a realistic sound.
