A detailed plastic kit to build a model of a late version Sopwith F.1 Camel with Bentley engine.
One major modification to the Sopwith Camel was the fitting of the Bentley BR1 engine, developed by engineer Walter Bentley in 1917. The increase in capacity offered by the new powerplant, providing 10 hp more than the Clerget 9B rotary engine, much improved the fighters performance allowing it to combat the best German fighters of the final period of the Great War on equal terms. | |
