Developed almost as an all round aircraft this new offering from Hasegawa allows the modeller to build the night fighter version used late WW2
Kawasaki Ki-45 (Nick)
Japanese nickname was Toryu (Dragon Killer). This versatile and successful fighter followed the trend of developing twin engine fighters, like the P-38. Useful in ground attack and anti-shipping strikes due to its firepower. Later in the war, the plane was also used as a night fighter with obliquely mounted upward firing cannons behind the pilot.
