This Airbus wears the traditional colours of the fifties and will fly in these colours for a few years. The Airbus A321-100 is a stretch variant of the short-to-medium range Airbus A320, but with a higher seating capacity, greater cargo volume and lower operating costs per passenger. The first aircraft of this type was delivered to Lufthansa on 27th January 1994. The aircraft has room for 182 passengers and a range of 4,200 km. Equipped with two International Aero Engines V2530-A5 type engines, it reaches a cruising speed of 840 km/h
