The F-5 is one of fighters in widest use, which was in service with more than 30 air forces throughout the world. Designed to provide friendly states with an economical combat plane, it went into production at the beginning of the sixties. The two-seat trainer version, the F-5 B was supplied to the USAF from 1964 onwards and was in service with the Dutch Air Force in Europe, among others.
