Revell 1/48 F-117 Stealth (04545)
The action-proven F-177s rank as the USAF's most supreme and valuable aircraft. Introduced back in August 1982, they heralded the onset of the USAF's stealth era. After years of strict secrecy the veil was finally lifted in 1988.
The Nighthawk's flat-angled design and radar-absorbent coating makes her extremely difficult to detect. Most of her operations are flown at night. With her infrared sensors and laser target illumination she can guide 1000 kg of bombs precisely to their target. This was adequately demonstrated during service in the Gulf War (the F-117 destroyed 40 percent of the strategic targets) and in the war in Kosovo.
