By 1946 the F-7U, a fighter interceptor with great climbing power, had been built for the US Navy and made its first flight in September 1948. It was the first US aircraft designed at the outset for use with afterburners. It went intoservice with the US Navy at the beginning of the 1950s and also served for armedreconnaissance duties. This historic Revell model is impressive evidence of the model building standardin the mid 50s. 4 Sparrow guided missiles are included with it.
