The B variant incorporated various refinements and although achieving considerable success during the attack on Poland, France, and the Low Countries the Stuka units were decimated during the Battle of Britain. The B2 variant upon which this kit is based operated with a 1200 h.p. Junkers Jumo engine giving a maximum speed of 383km/h at 4000m; armament consisted of one 1102lb bomb.
