This model kit of the BAC 1-11 conatins 50 detailed parts and includeds decals for British Caledonian Airways (circa 1970) and AER Lingus (circa 1965). The BAC 1-11 was the worlds first short-haul jet airliner and proved very popular with small airlines operating the chartered flights, making holidays in the sun affordable for the average UK citizen. BAC 1-11's were still being operated on holiday charter flights into the 1990's.

Finished model measures 190mm length, 184mm wingspan. Principal paints required Humbrol 11, 53, 64, 85, 130, 166 &177, plus 15 and 135 for the British Caledonian livery.
