Over the year's Tamiya have produced, in small numbers, the occasional fully assembled and finished F1 model. Always reassuringly expensive and exceptional models they have been very sought after. One of the last was of the stunning Team Williams BMW FW24, as driven by J.P. Montoya in the Japan GP, 2002. Full engine detail, suspension, and radiators, can be seen under the detachable cowling. The distinctive shape of the car has been precisely reproduced including the deflector, border wing, and rear diffuser; the cockpit is fully and accurately detailed. All the external markings have been meticulously placed on the body, and even the emergency engine stop ring has been perfectly recreated on the side! Topped off with a custom display case, model length 228mm, the model replicates Montoya's Japan GP race car.
