Born in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada, Villeneuve is the son of the famous Gilles Villeneuve who was killed during qualifying at the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix. Jacques is the winner of Formula One (1997) and CART (1995) world championships and the Indianapolis 500, being one of only three drivers to accomplish all three feats (the others being) Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi). He was most recently employed in Formula 1 by BMW Sauber as a race driver until mid way through the 2006 season, and is now pursuing a racing career outside F1, including entry into the 2007 24 Hours of Le Mans sportscar race.

Sauber's final Grand Prix came in China 2005, Felipe Massa scoring a welcome sixth place to round off the team's history. Sauber departed F1 with six third places and two front row starts their best results. Amongst notable Sauber drivers were Jean Alesi, Johnny Herbert and 1997 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve, who raced for the team in its final season.

Massa was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and began karting when he was 8 years old. In 2000, he moved to Europe to compete in the Italian Formula Renault series. Whilst having the opportunity to move into Formula 3, he opted instead for the Formula 3000 Euro-Series, and was dominant, winning 6 of the 8 races to take the championship. He was offered an F1 test with the Sauber team, who promptly signed him for 2002. In his rookie year in Formula 1, Massa was paired with 1999 F3000 champion Nick Heidfeld at the Sauber team. Massa showed he was a competitive driver, but made several mistakes during his rookie season, including spinning off the track on several occasions. Massa scored 4 championship points in his first season, with a best result of 5th place in the Spanish Grand Prix .Massa suffered a one race suspension late in the season, forcing him to miss the United States Grand Prix. Although Massa returned to the driver's seat for the Japanese Grand Prix, Sauber confirmed that Frentzen would partner Heidfeld in 2003, and therefore, Massa was without a race seat at Sauber. Having impressed the team, and showing signs that his mistake rate had declined, Sauber re-signed Massa for the 2004 season. In 2004, Massa scored 12 of Sauber's 34 points, with his best result being a 4th place finish at the Belgian Grand Prix. In 2005, Massa remained with Sauber. Although he only scored 11 points, Massa outpaced his teammate Jacques Villeneuve through most of the season.

Ralf Schumacher was born June 30, 1975 in Hürth-Hermülheim near Cologne, is the younger brother of seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher and has won 6 F1 races during his career, which has spanned from 1997 to the present.In 2005, Schumacher transferred to the Toyota F1 team after Williams refused his salary demands. In the first 12 races of the season he was out-performed by team mate Jarno Trulli, however in Spa-Francorchamps, he was able to challenge for the lead most of the race and ended up setting the fastest lap. Schumacher earned his first podium with Toyota F1 at the Hungarian Grand Prix, chasing down brother Michael Schumacher for 2nd place. The Toyota team brought the "B" specification of their TF105 car to the last 3 races of the season which allowed Schumacher to take pole position in Japan and finish the Chinese Grand Prix in third position a week later. This modified version of the car secured 6th position in the Drivers Championship for Schumacher, 2 points ahead of Trulli.

Hot Wheels have produced some really excellent models of Michael Schumacher and the Ferrari F1, and this is one of the best. Together they produced some of the most devastating race performances seen in Formula One. An excellent memento of an excellent combination.

A superb limited edition model with an acrylic inscribed base with certificate. The Ferrari 2006 car was stunning and makes a stunning model. It also has a 1/4 scale helmet, and a model figure to comprise one of the best display pieces ever produced of Schumacher with his Ferrari - a celebration of maybe the best F1 driver ever. Mark Webber began his racing career in karts, and became the New South Wales state champion in 1992. He made his Formula Ford debut in 1994, and won the Formula Ford Festival two years later.

Over the year's Tamiya have produced, in small numbers, the occasional fully assembled and finished F1 model. Always reassuringly expensive and exceptional models they have been very sought after. One of the last was of the stunning Team Williams BMW FW24, as driven by J.P. Montoya in the Japan GP, 2002. Full engine detail, suspension, and radiators, can be seen under the detachable cowling. The distinctive shape of the car has been precisely reproduced including the deflector, border wing, and rear diffuser; the cockpit is fully and accurately detailed. All the external markings have been meticulously placed on the body, and even the emergency engine stop ring has been perfectly recreated on the side! Topped off with a custom display case, model length 228mm, the model replicates Montoya's Japan GP race car.

The 1979 RAC Rally started in Chester on 18th November covering 2120km, 687km were over 56 special stages of the 175 starters only 74 finished  with David Richards with Ari Vatanen finishing in fourth place.

Stunning model in this scale overall white with red piping, super interior detail with spare wheel in the boot, length approx 103mm, moveable wheels with treaded tyres.

Simo Lampinen overcame what was considered a huge obstacle to a rally driver; he contracted polio at a young age. He survived the childhood disease, but it left him with a very pronounced limp. Authorities granted him a driving license at age 17 so he could get to and from school more easily, but he quickly went on to acquire a competition license. He won his first major rally, Finland's Rally of the 1000 Lakes, in 1963 when he was only 20. Simo finished 7th in the 1977 RAC Rally with S.Andreasson.

British Leyland ran a team of TR7s in rally competition from 1976 to 1980. These cars used the 16 valve Dolomite Sprint or Rover V8 engine and had disc brakes on all four wheels. They were reasonably successful on tarmac events but did not do well on off road sectionsRoger Clark competed on the 1980 RAC Rally in the TR7 for the British Leyland Works Team. It was to be the last rally in whch he competed as a works driver.

1300GT Ford Escort Mk1 Police Car "Panda"

No matter what the competition, the climate, the surface, the conditions, or the country; the Ford Escort was consistently successful, at all levels of the sport. Even the less modified Group 1 Escorts (sometimes called 'showroom' category cars) were victorious. Memorably, there were three consecutive outright wins by Escort RS2000s in the 1974, 1975 and 1976 Tours of Britain, multi-discipline endurance events that combined racing with long-distance rallying.

Few drivers have ever graduated to F1 with the fanfare and furor which surrounded the announcement of Jenson Button as a Williams driver in February 2000.Two years earlier the 20 year-old from Frome in Somerset had been about to embark on his first season of Formula Ford after a glittering career in karting. Now he made the front pages of half the British national daily newspapers.After a decent first season at Williams he was forced to move to Renault to make way for Juan Pablo Montoya. Button's two seasons at Renault were disappointing but for 2003 he signed for the BAR team, initially as team mate to Jacques Villeneuve.Button's progress against Villeneuve was impressive and by the end of the year Villeneuve had gone and Button was the number one driver. In 2004 the BAR-Honda combination was much more successful and Jenson scored 10 podium finishes and was third in the World Championship despite failing to win a race. In the middle of the year it was announced that he would be going back to Williams in 2005 but BAR challenged the deal and the Contract Recognition Board ruled in BAR's favour. Button stayed with BAR. A year later he decided that he wanted to stay with the team in 2006 rather than go to Williams as he was contracted to do. The battle fought the previous year was thus fought in reverse with Jenson finally buying way out of the Williams deal to take up a huge offer from Honda.It turned out to be a good decision as Williams struggled and Honda improved dramatically and in Hungary Button won his first Grand Prix victory and went on to finish sixth in the Drivers' World Championship.

This model is probably the closest to the original that Corgi chose for their first model in July 1956. The Ford Consul was by then six years old and very popular. Within three months the initial production run of 100,000 models had been sold out and the Swansea factory had to produce a further 250,000 examples to meet demand. In four months Corgi made 118,519 more models that Ford did in six years, although at 2/9d the model was a bargain compared to the £663 Ford charged for the real thing.  This special limited edition model is made in exactly the same way as the 1956 original, with a metal chassis, turned wheels, and of course, windows.

Coinciding with the Centenary of Birmingham City Transport this year, here’s one only half that age! One of four Original Omnibus selected as Corgi 50th Anniversary releases, from Wales is presented the stunning livery of Caelloi Motors, Pwllheli, Gwynedd on the new Van Hool T9 coach. Wright Solar Fusion First Bath, Bath, These buses are used on the service between the centre of Bath and the Bath University campus at Claverton.In 1997, using a mixture of Dennis Darts, Lances and Daf Icarus. The company became the "Bright Orange" in 1998.In 2002 the first 'bendy buses' were introduced, and then in 2005 the company took delivery of nine new B7's bringing the fleet to 12, providing 1400 seats per hour.A new livery followed which is truly 'bright orange'

This set is of  a double decker and a small bus in a superb boxed set in the distinctive Tamar Livery based in Plymouth, Devon 

This is UK1024 carrying the Park & Ride livery of Stagecoach Devon .This model represents Stagecoach Devon 17002 (S802 BWC). This bus was originally TA2 in London and is the sister to TA1, the first production Dennis Trident delivered to a UK bus operator After leaving London, 17002 was put into Stagecoach livery and entered service in Torbay for the summer season along with others from the same batch. Following refurbishment, Stagecoach 17002 was one of the 5 ex Leyton Garage London Tridents to be put onto Exeter’s Honiton Road Park & Ride service. Devon Design & Print produced this distinctive Yellow and Blue livery which has been used to brand all three of Exeter’s Park & Ride services. The introduction of these low-floor, larger capacity buses enabled the Honiton Road Park & Ride become one of the fastest growing bus services in the UK in 2005.

This bus represents fleet number 42 (YN54 AOB) that was new in 2004. The Scania OmniCity was first introduced to Newport Transport Limited in 2002 which now has eighteen of them in full operation. Newport Transport is owned by Newport City Council and the majority of the bus services run by the company are in and around Newport, South Wales. Part of the Omni range, the Scania OmniCity places high emphasis on driver and passenger comfort and is equipped with air suspension for superb ride comfort and effective sound insulation of the floor together with curved side windows ensure that the noise level inside the bus is kept at pleasant level. There are 42 seats plus space for wheelchairs and the flat floor is virtually free from obstructing platforms, allowing passengers to move quickly and conveniently through the entire bus. The boarding and exit heights, although already low, can be further lowered by the kneeling function.

Since the operation of City Airbus routes ceased a couple years ago, the new lives of the ex-Airbus Volvo Olympian / Alexander Royales have been of interest to British enthusiasts. UK4008 represents fleet number 34200 (V00 273). 34200 was delivered new to London United in the spring of 1996 for London Airbus services. National Express purchased the Airbus operation from London United in 1999 along with the 19 Olympians, which operated it. These vehicles were unusual in having Air Conditioning, only 9 seats in the lower saloon, luggage racks and a wheelchair space & lift. Following the reduction of Airbus services, First Bus acquired many Olympians from the dealer Ensign bus The Olympian / Royale was introduced into First Devon & Cornwall fleet October 2004 and they were dedicated vehicles on the X80 route from Plymouth to Torquay. The vehicles can seat 43 people on the top deck and 22 on the lower deck plus one wheelchair. They are still fitted with air-conditioning, which comes in very useful during the summer months for visitors and residents alike who enjoy the warm climate of the Devon Riviera.
