Providing a lot of fun, RC flight simulators help train flyers of radio controlled aircraft on a computer screen, without risk and expense of damaging. Besides the obvious use of training beginners, they are also great for practicing aerobatics and evaluating a model before its purchase, and of course for flying when it's dark and wet outside! So for as little as 20 you can be flying sophisticated RC aircraft on a home computer, either using a dedicated transmitter / controller or, as with the Phoenix flight sim, porting straight into your own Radio set. The programmes contain the parameters for a number of aircraft and most simulators allow the importation of add-ons such as new model types and landscapes.
