A typical basic roadside garage comprising a simple workshop building with large doors to admit motor vehicles and office to one side. Outside two old-time petrol pumps are provided, typical of a pre-WW2 roadside garage and service station.
This building combines 'modern' brick construction with a rustic half-timbered gable end, giving a very nice 'coutry' look to the structure. In addition to use as a roadside garrage the building could be used in a station goods yard as the main office and garage for a pre-WW2 oil company distribution depot or coal merchant wanting to keep their new and rather expensive motor lorry under cover at night.
