The NEPTUNE SB-1 submarine is the 1st underwater R/C model by Thunder Tiger. Equipped with high technology operating equipment in the inner hull tub, covered by the brilliantly yellow outer hull, the SB-1 will let you enjoy the otherwise hidden, underwater world. Adopting a static diving system, the SB-1 is just like the real thing. The system is driven by a ballast tank with pump & motor unit. Start the pump to induct the water into the ballast tank. Control the amount of water in the ballast tank, the submarine can dive from the surface and stay underwater in static. Using the propulsion power unit and full elevator and rudder control, you can drive the submarine under water with ease. Equipped with an auto detect protection system, if the system detects low battery power, low transmission signal or leakage, then the roll pump will auto start to flood the water out of the ballast tank and make the SB-1 float back to the surface more.. | |

Just like the legendary robbe U47, this model is capable of submerged running using the dynamic method of diving. The model is almost 2 metres long, and consists - like the U47 - of a foreship and aftership joined together by a central screwed joint. When the two parts are separated, the motors and RC equipment assembly can be withdrawn from the pressure vessel. This model also features pre-cut flooding slots to save the modeller the time-consuming task of drilling and/or machining the openings. In contrast to the U47 the forward hydroplanes are controlled by a servo, rather than mechanically by means of a paddle. As an option these forward hydroplanes can be folded in for surface running, just as on the full-size vessel.
