Peco O Level Crossing Gates (LK-750)


A set of single-gate level crossing gates. Typical of the hand-worked gates used to close off minor roads, farm tracks and occupation crossings.

Where the new railways divided up farms and estates the railway company was obliged to provide suitable crossing points for the farmer or landowner to access their fields. Provided for the use of the 'occupier' of the land these crossings are know as 'occupation crossings' to differentiate them from a level crossing at a public road or highway.
