Atlantics WM 1/700 HMS Ocean RN Assault Ship Resin Kit (ATL7K)

The Atlantics' waterline model kit of HMS Ocean is in stock! Ocean is officially designated 'Landing Platform Helicopter' (LPD). A resin hull with brass detailing parts enables production of a really nicely detailed model and include flight deck markings to give a professional finish.

At 1/700 scale this model is 297mm long and of 49mm beam. Included are 4 x army Apache helicopters, 3 x Merlins enabling presentation on the deck as per the operations off Libya in 2011. But also included are 4 x Sea Harriers and 2 x Lynx helicopters to depict earlier operations. Ammo canisters, mobile crane and containers are also included

Illustrated is Ocean as operating off Libya and carrying a Commodore's flag.

Paint and glue is required to complete the kit.

It is hoped that a ready made and painted version will be available in 2012.

Atlantics WM 1/700 RFA Mounts Bay RN LSD Kit (ATL3K)

A simple kit version of the third Atlantics' resin model, the Bay Class LSD. Etched brass detailing parts help give the model a fine appearance and a choice of four names is provided for.

Enhancing the model are several cargo and deck handling items, including a LCT10, Mexefloat, Containers, Deck Handling Vehicles, Chinook helicopter and to round this off, a Merlin helicopter.

Model length is just under 10"(24.5cm) so its a good size.

Fine resin kit of the Royal Navy's F114 HMS Ajax, a Leander class Ikara conversion.
Other Leanders converted were:
Aurora  F10, Euryalus F15, Galatea F18, Arethusa F38, Naiad F39, Dido F104, and Leander F109. These were all converted  (1973-76) to carry the Ikara anti-submarine system in place of a 4.5" gun. Additionally the ships carried 2 x 40mm guns, 2 sea Cat Missile Stsytems, 1 Mortar Mk 10, 1 Wap helicopter.

MT Miniatures 1/700 HMS Cleopatra Resin Model Kit (MTM005K)

Fine resin kit of the Royal Navy's F28 HMS Cleopatra, Leander class frigate converted to carry Exocet missiles. Others of the class so converted were: F40 Sirius, F42 Phoebe, F45 Minerva, F47 Danae, F56 Argonaut and F127 Penelope. Four Exocet launchers replaced the 4.5" gun! 3 Sea Cat missile systems were also carried, as were 2 x 40mm guns, 6 torpedo tubes and a Lynx helicopter.
The Leander class were the last steam powered frigates in the Royal Navy, all later ships being propelled by gas turbines.
