Coastlines 1/1250 CL-TG01a Neptune, large harbour tug, Southampton, 1911-33
A new version of the large harbour tug in her original livery. This tug, built in 2011, led Titanic into Southampton for her maiden voyage. For a model of Neptune with a red funnel, see model CL-TG01, also available from Antics.
Neptune was the first Southampton tug to have a towing drum. Original film footage shows the stern of this tug assisting Titanic's departure from Southampton and Neptune helped to return the liner New York to the quayside when suction from Titanic broke her mooring ropes.
