Brush Traction developed the class 57 locomotive with Freighliner, giving class 47s locomotive bodyshells an extensive overhaul and equipping them with the highly regarded EMD 645 engine, allied to updated electrical systems. The 'new' class 57 locomotives appeared in Freighliners' green livery with lettering in yellow.
This detailed model from the Graham Farish N gauge range is powered by a centrally mounted motor driving all six axles. The class 47 style radiator grilles retained for these initial build locomotives are nicely reproduced on this model.
Model completed with a weathered finish.
