A detailed model of the BR class 05 0-6-0 diesle shunting locomotives built by the Hunslet Engine Company using the 204bhp Gardner 8L3 engine as fitted to the BR-built class 03 and similar Drewery class 04 diesel shunters. Using a reliable engine and gearbox combination and similar to the standard 204bhp shunters the Hunslet engines survived the clear-out of generally poor designs, but as a small class were withdrawn as shunting requirements reduced. One example, D2554, had been transferred to the Isle of Wight to assist with electrification work and was retained for many years as the Island Line engineers locomotive. Today this engine remains on the Isle of Wight, now with the IoW Steam Railway.
