Unbelievable value for a diecast model, this must be the most metal you can get for your money. And it's a good model, with folding wings, rotating propeller, good graphics, rotating rubber wheels and a hidden coin box.
Cheap enough to be a toy, its great for any air enthusiast. The model is based on a Wildcat of USN VF-41 squadron which was assigned to USS Ranger, and took part in the air battles over Algeria during the invasion of North Africa.
The production of the Grumman Widcat was taken over by General Motors in 1942 and their Eastern's Linden, New Jersey plant became responsible for the production of the F4F-4, designated FM-1Wildcat. By the end of 1942 21 had been delivered from the plant and production was increasing rapidly. | |
