The Gloster Gladiator, the last of the RAF biplane fighter aircraft, examples still being is service in the first years of WW2 particularly away from the main northern Europe theatre where the new Hurricane and Spitfire fighters were urgently required.

This model is painted in Luftwaffe colours, representing a aircraft captured by German forces.
Captured aircraft were often made airworthy for evaluation purposes and were sometimes used in supporting roles, as transport or communications aircraft. The rules of warfare require that the new owners of captured equipment paint the aircraft with their markings. While the Finns flew Gladiators alongside the Luftwaffe the application of German markings makes this an interesting model for any collection.

Model features fine wire wing bracing and rotating propellor. Supplied with a display stand.
Note, the model is painted in a pale green colour which appears grey in some of the photographs.
