Corgi 1/72 Westland Wessex HAS.3 Humphrey XP142 Royal Navy HMS Antrim (AA37602)

Corgi are one of the original British manufacturers of metal aircraft models. Produced in diecast metal the original quality has been improved upon with the application of modern production techniques. The paintwork is superb, and the tampo printed insignia and markings bring each model to life. With the inclusion of wheels and wheel covers, most models can be displayed either "on the tarmac" or airbourne, usually on a display stand.

Corgi's latest model of the Wessex HAS.3 as operating from HMS Antrim in 1982. Humphrey was a Wessex HAS.3 based on HMS Antrim with 100 Flight of 737 NAS. It was used to rescue the crew and passengers of 2 Wessex HU.5 that crashed on South Georgia during Operation Paraquat, the British operation to retake the island in late April 1982. Humphrey also undertook some Spec.ops insertions and rescued a number of SAS/SBS personnel who's motor had failed on their inflateable boats. A famous incident was the depth charging of the Argentinian submarine 'Santa Fe'. The helicopter was retired in July 1982. Rotorspan 237mm,
