The Viscount was one of the most successful British-built airlines of the time,with 444 being flown by some 150 operators,including Aer Lingus,the Irish national airline. All Aer Lingus Viscounts were named after Irish Saints and OE became "St. Dymphna" serving on the airlines high density routes.
In 1969 "St. Dymphna " was scrapped at Dublin with a total flight time of 21,987 hours.
