Revell/Monogram 1/6 Corvette 327 Fuel Injected Engine Kit (85-1594)
Pre-painted parts in authentic factory colors. Beautifully dressed with plenty of chrome
including gas lines, linkage hoses, sparkplug boots, and wiring harness. Vinyl spark plug
wires. Exquisitely detailed engine components such as the alternator, distributor, venturi,
and water pump. Rotating fan via rubber belt. Meticulously detailed Corvette valve and
plenum covers. Black painted die cast metal engine stand. Molded diplay base with authentic
Corvette logos. Illustrated assembly guide.
The hottest engine set-up for the mid-sixties Corvette was the L84 327 cubic inch small block V8 with the Rochester constant flow fuel injection unit. Originally appearing in the 1957 models, the fuelie was refined to the point where small blocks so equipped were developing 375 horsepower by 1964. Because of its steep $538 cost it was rare to see a Vette that had the Fuel Injection emblem on its fenders, but those that did could go from 0 to 60 in just 6.3 seconds.
