At the beginning of 2004, over half a century after the first Chevrolet Corvette, the sixth version of this American sports car was presented at the Detroit Motor Show. Stylistically the coupé with removable hard top was based on the previous models, but the much shorter C6 also has new design features. In particular the interior is now finished with better class materials. As usual, this Corvette is driven by the legendary small block V8 engine, now called the LS-2 that has a capacity of 6 litres and develops 402 bhp. This rear wheel drive Corvette C6 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of about 290 km/h.
