French Caronade - XIX century This caronade was built by the French following a style developed by the English a century before. The screwed sight, a stronger breech and a carriage running on a track, made the French gun more efficient. The gun was placed into the first & second rate vessels such as Toulonnaise, Belle Poule, and Valmy.
The kit includes laser cut wooden parts for the gun carriage, deck and ship gunport, with brass gun barrel, cannon balls, and fittings. A wooden base is also supplied for display. The instruction booklet is very detailed, covering every step of construction.
