The Daimler DC27 first appeared in 1949, bodied by Barker & Company and went on to be the classic ambulance of the 1950's.Due to the shortage of a suitable chassis after the war, Daimler decided to produce a special ambulance chassis and collaborated with the various municipal and medical authorities to produce these stylish vehicle. 499 of these vehicles were built with the majority going to London.The DC27 continued well into the 1960's
