The Ford Transit, a successor to the Ford Thames 15cwt van was used over the years by fire brigades for a variety of tasks including general purpose, canteen vans, breathing apparatus tenders, salvage tenders, control units, pumps and emergency tenders,This distinctive liveried vehicle, operating out of Weston Super Mare, attended road traffic accident as well as other incidents requiring the rescue equipment caried. This vehicle was taken out of service in 1980. Very smart model which replicates the original vehicle very nicely, finished in all white with reverse ambulance lettering on the bonnet in red, yellow and red rescue logo on the side of the vehicle,roof lights, with the coat of arms also applied to the side, model length 10cm, limited edition certificate included to show one of only 2.800 distributed world wide | |
