On May 7th, 1945 General Alfred Jodl announced he would sign the official surrender of Nazi Germany the following day. Winston Churchill declared the 8th May 1945 as a national holiday. This date became known as Victory in Europe (VE) day and signalled the end of 6 years of bitter conflict in Europe. To commemorate this momentous moment the Showcase range proudly presents the ‘VE Day 60th Anniversary Collection’.
