'Dee Valley' were noted for their smart red lorries, many having chromed air horns and coach style wheel trims long before 'customising' became popular.The Company had its origins in the mid - thirties when its founder, Jack Edwards, began with one lorry on local haulage.Operations expanded, becoming nationalised in the late 'forties' as part of the 30G, Wrexham/Welshpool Group.Upon denationalistation in 1954 Jack Edwards restarted and built up a fleet of around 10 vehicles. Jack retired in the mid 60's and sold out to Pearsons (Haulage), but DVT retained its distictive red livery right up to its closure in 1994
