This famous East Anglian company was founded by Harry Pointer and was later run by his son Peter.In the early days the company was more involved in civil engineering than in general haulage and, as a result escaped nationalisation in the late 1940's.Following de-nationalisation, over 100 vehicles were being operated. Although some vehicles were operated in customer colours, most of the fleet sported the famous Pointer dog.
