How many times have Ferrari been credited with creating a perfect vehicle, only to launch another masterpiece that exceeded all expectations. This applies to the Ferrari 360 Modena Spider that was shown for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 2000. The Spider is based on the hard-top version of the previous year, and has an all-aluminium body in which Ferrari has invested 5 years development. The Spider successfully combines aggressive sportiness with great roominess and comfort. This low-profile Cabrio, only 1.21 metre high, offers superlative handling that, hitherto untypically for Ferrari, also guarantees an inexperienced driver impeccable cornering with no danger of swerving. Furthermore, this Italian dream car has a problem-free soft top that comes down fully automatically in only 20 seconds. It is powered by the same motor as the 360 Modena: the water-cooled 3.6 litre 8- cylinder all-aluminium engine delivers 400 bhp. The 6-speed gearbox is offered as a conventional manual or with all-electric option. The Spider accelerates from 0 to 100 in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 290 kph
