At the time of its launch the Titanic was the largest moving vessel ever built and destined to become the most famous ship of all time.The story has fascinated people since April 14, 1912 when it sank in 2 1/2 hours after striking an iceberg on its maiden voyage to America. Amati have produced what must be the most accurate and detailed kit of this ship. The jam packed box of wooden parts includes 9 sheets of plans with a full colour overall building plan (a work of art in itself), 9 sheets of photo-etched brasswork to give superb detail - even down to rivets on the upper metalwork.
The kit includes laser cut frames for keel & bulkheads, and wood strip for hull planking. Also included is the wooden deck planking, brass and wooden fittings; photo etched brass details;Â The instruction booklet is very detailed, taking you through every step of construction. Due to the large hull, this model can be Radio Controlled.
