The Sherbourne was built as a revenue vessel for the Customs Service. She was designed by Sir Thomas Slade, the designer of the famous Victory and was built and launched in 1763. After over 20 years of service, Sherbourne was sold in 1784 ~ a remarkably long career for such a small vessel.
The Sherbourne kit has been designed with the novice builder in mind and has an estimated building time of around two months of evening work. This comprehensive kit contains CNC cut walnut throughout. The extensive fittings include 8 3pdr Guns and 10 swivel guns, black and natural hemp for rigging and all other decorative fittings. The kit is supplied with full size plans, comprehensive instruction manual and drawings.
