W. & D. Dawson, based in Alford, Aberdeenshire is a small family run business, which was established in August 1974. William and Douglas started the business with the purchase of a second-hand Ford 6-wheel tipper. The first artic they purchased was a Volvo FL10 in 1985. Since then the company has expanded and now run a fleet of seven artics (one Volvo, six Scanias) and one DAF 8-wheeler. The company specialises in bulk grain and distillery by-products and the distribution of fertiliser. It is now run by William, Douglas and Douglas (Junior).
