Established in 1988, John Hulston's haulage company has a long association with Scania, having transported a load of straw with a Scania 86, from Glenfarg to the Isle of Seil, as their very first load. This particular Scania R560 Topline, V3 JAH, features a series of stunning airbrushed artworks that depict the Kelpies at Falkirk, the world's largest equine sculptures. Standing next to a new extension to the Forth and Clyde Canal, the Kelpies are up to 30 metres tall, with each head weighing in at over 300 tonnes. The sculptor, Andy Scott, visualised the Kelpies as "monuments to the horse and a paean to the lost industries of the Falkirk area and of Scotland."

In August 2014 John Hulston replaced his Scania R470 in its custom livery of eagles soaring over the landscape, with a Scania R560. Looking for an equally stunning cab livery, John was inspired by Scott's sculptures and approached him for permission to reproduce them. That secured, John Hulston again commissioned Stewart McLaren, of Alloa's McLaren Signs, to airbrush the new vehicle with his interpretation of the Kelpies. As well as the Kelpies that feature on the cab sides, the rear of the cab features a central 'V8' motif beneath the words "Five Hundred and Sixty an' a couple mair", a reference to the vehicle's horsepower and the two Kelpies.
