The Dick Kerr or 'Standard' tram was one of the most popular types of tram seen on the
streets of Great britain at the beginning of the twentieth century.In order to negotiate
tight curves, the short distance between the axles often made the trams slightly unstable
and was particularly noticeable when tracks became worn.This helped turn the tide against
the trams as a means of transport
