The luxury Jaguar XJS was introduced at the end of 1975 and represented the wish of Sir W. Lyons, the founder of this mark, to enter the GT market, which at the time was far more lucrative than the sports car market. It was designed with the use of a wind tunnel in order to achieve optimum aerodynamics.
The powerful V12 engine, with a capacity of 6 litres gave the XJS a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
