 | Most small model rocket motors are single-use engines, with cardboard bodies and lightweight molded ceramic nozzles, ranging in impulse class from fractional A to E. These motors are tested and certified by the National Association of Rocketry, The motors come in standardized sizes: 1/2A, A, B, C, D and E. The diameter of each size is fractional A 13 and 18 mm; A, B and C 18 mm; and C, D and E 24mm. Because of the hot gases being released on ignition it is paramount that the rocket body is packed between the motor and the parachute, with heat retardent recovery wadding before launch. Because of the fragile nature of the coated ignitors we can supply these as spare packs of six. | | Please note that rocket motors are not accepted for delivery by the Royal Mail and these must be sent using a courier service. Rocket motors are classified as pyrotechnics and are subject to appropriate restrictions on carriage. At the current time we have not found a carrier licenced to deliver outside the UK and therefore cannot supply rocket motors to addresses outside of the UK. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
