The main problem for the American tank units at the beginning of Desert Storm were the Iraq minefields along the front line. To solve this problem and give the troops a chance to overcome the obstacles, the Abrams tank battalion received Battalion Countermine Sets(BCS), The BCS is a combination of mine plough and mine roller kits. The Chrysler-built mine clearing roller system can be used by all US battle tanks. | |
