Trumpeter 1/35 Zil-157 Soviet Army Truck (01003)

A detailed model with 361 pieces and comes with decals for the Russian Army service.

Model Length: 199mm, Width: 67mm, Height: 85mm, requires paints and glue to complete this kit.

In 1958 the FAW (The First Automobile Wroks) introduced China's first dedicated military truck Jiefang CA30, a 2.5-ton class 6X6 cross-country troop/cargo carrier truck derived from the Soviet ZIL157. Using the Soviet ZIL150 as a pattern, a new 6 cylinder water-cooling engine was installed. The engine is placed at the front of the cabinet. The wood floor cargo trunk was at rear. The total length of the truck was 6,684 meters , width was 2.315 metres and height 2.36 metres. The net weight was 5450 kgs and loading capacity was 4.5 tons for high way travelling and 2.5 tons for cross-country operation. The maximum speed was 65 kms/per hour and 680 kilometres for max distance per fueling. The CA30 was widely used by the PLA ground forces until the early 1990s. It was used in general troop/cargo carrier, heavyload cargo carrier, shelter, dump truck, crane, and tanker configurations. In addition, the vehicle is also used as the chassis for a range of weapon systems including 122mm self-propelled guns.
